We respect your privacy.

The Way Church (“The Way Church” or “we” or “us”) has created this privacy policy (this “Privacy Policy”) in order to demonstrate its commitment to users, visitors, and user privacy with regard to The Way Church’s website located at www.thewaychurchni.com and any mobile phone applications (together, collectively the “Service”). Privacy on the Service is of great importance to us. Because we gather important information from our users and visitors (collectively “Users” or “you” or “your”), we have established this Privacy Policy as a means to communicate our information gathering and dissemination practices. By accessing the Service, you acknowledge and agree to this Privacy Policy and also agree to the Terms of Use of the Service located at www.thewaychurchni.com.

Information We Collect

PERSONAL INFORMATION
We may require Users who use the Service to give us contact information, which may include but is not limited to the User’s name, mailing address, phone number, mobile number, email address, cookies, IP logs, and other information (collectively “Personal Information”). Besides the Personal Information, we may also collect other information you provide when using the Service. From time to time, we may also collect or ask for additional Personal Information, which will also be expressly included herein as Personal Information. You can opt out of providing this additional information by not entering it, although not providing such information may hinder your ability to use the Service.
LOCATION INFORMATION
We collect and store your location information if you enable your mobile device to send it to us, such as by use of geolocation features in the device(s) through which you access the Service or our service, or by inference from other information we collect (for example, your IP address indicates the general geographic region from which you are connecting to the Internet).

How We Use Information

We use the information we collect from the Service mainly as follows: (i) to provide, maintain, protect and improve the Service (including data analytics) and to develop new ones; (ii) to respond to your submissions, questions, comments, requests and complaints and provide customer service; (iii) as part of our efforts to keep the services safe and secure; (iv) to protect The Way Church’s or its third party provider’s rights or property; (v) for internal operations, including troubleshooting, data analysis, testing, research, customization, and improvements to service and experience on the Service; (vi) to send you confirmations, updates, security alerts, and support and administrative messages; and (vii) for any other legitimate business purpose for which the information was collected. For example, The Way Church may also use the information to verify any of your Personal Information such as, but not limited to, your mobile number, and to send information regarding us, our partners, promotions, and events. You may be invited to receive an email newsletter or other correspondence by providing an email address or to sign up for a mobile text service by texting from your mobile number. Your email address, mobile number, and any Personal Information will not be distributed or shared with third parties unless you have given us consent to do so or, to comply with any legal processes and/or law enforcement requests., or We may also distribute or share your email address and any Personal Information in order to conduct any business as we, in our sole subjective discretion, deem reasonable; but sharing excludes text messaging opt-in data and consent, which will not be shared with any third parties. We may also email (or send via other methods) information regarding updates to the Service or The Way Church, and may send a newsletter, or other correspondence. You will have an opportunity to unsubscribe to any emails or mailings by clicking on an “unsubscribe” hyperlink contained in promotional emails we send you, or by changing the settings in the The Way Church mobile application. You may terminate push notifications on the The Way Church mobile application by adjusting the settings on your mobile phone. Even if you are removed from any such list, if you use the Service, you will continue to receive email correspondence from The Way Church related to the Service. For personal data that is subject to General Data Protection Regulation (“GDPR”), we rely on several legal bases to process your data, which include (i) when you have given consent, which you may withdraw at any time by using sending an email to info@thewaychurchni.com; (ii) when data processing is necessary to perform a contract with you, such as the Terms of Service , and (iii) our legitimate interests, such as improving and personalizing the services and promoting safety and security of our services and our users.

How you can control your information

We know members of our community value having control over their own information. We give you the choice of providing, editing or removing certain information, as well as choice over how we contact you via The Way Church mobile application. You may access your account settings and tools to access and control your personal data regardless of where you live. If you live in the European Economic Area, United Kingdom, and Switzerland (“Designated Region”), you have several legal rights regarding your information as discussed below.
Accessing and Exporting Data
By sending an email to info@thewaychurchni.com, you may request your personal information in a common file format.
Editing and Deleting Data
By sending an email to info@thewaychurchni.com, you can change or delete your personal information. Additionally, you may delete your account if you wish. If you choose to delete your account, most of your information will be deleted within 30 days, but it may take longer to delete all your data and other data stored in our backup systems due to size and complexity of our systems used to store data.
Objecting or Restricting Data Use
In your account settings, you have options to control our use of your data. You may limit how your information is visible to other users or made publicly available and limit the notifications or emails you receive from by clicking on an “unsubscribe” hyperlink contained in promotional emails we send you, or by changing the settings in the The Way Church mobile application. Please note that should you opt-out of receiving notifications or emails from us, you will still receive administrative messages from us. If you live in a Designated Region, you have the right to object to our processing of your information based on our legitimate interests and the right to object to the use of your information for direct marketing purposes. You may control our marketing communications to you by accessing your account settings. Additionally, you should review the “Do we use Cookies? ” and Google sections for your options to control how we and our partners use cookies and other technologies for advertising. Disclosure of user information to third parties

In addition to the use of information described above, The Way Church reserves the right to disclose information provided by Users (including Personal Information) as follows:
Disclosure By Law
You acknowledge and agree that we may disclose information you provide if required to do so by law, at the request of a third party, or if we, in our sole discretion, believe that disclosure is reasonable to (1) comply with the law, requests or orders from law enforcement, or any legal process (whether or not such disclosure is required by applicable law); (2) protect or defend The Way Church’s, or a third party’s, rights or property; or (3) protect someone’s health or safety, such as when harm or violence against any person (including you) is threatened.

Disclosure to Protect Abuse Victims

Notwithstanding any other provision of this privacy statement or our Terms & Conditions, we reserve the right, but have no obligation, to disclose any information that you submit to the services, if in our sole opinion, we suspect or have reason to suspect, that the information involves a party who may be the victim of abuse in any form. Abuse may include, without limitation, elder abuse, child abuse, spousal abuse, neglect, or domestic violence. Information may be disclosed to authorities that we, in our sole discretion, deem appropriate to handle such disclosure. Appropriate authorities may include, without limitation, law enforcement agencies, child protection agencies, or court officials. You hereby acknowledge and agree that we are permitted to make such disclosure.
Disclosure to Third Party Service Providers
We may share your information with third party service providers to perform functions on our behalf. For example, outsourced customer care agents or technology assistants may need access to your information to perform services for you. Your information will be treated as private and confidential by such service providers and not used for any other purpose than we authorize.

Notice to parents of children

This notice provides information for parents of children under 13 years of age, or any higher minimum age in the jurisdiction where that child resides, about our practices with respect to personal information that we collect from such children who register for and use our Services and indicate they are under the age of 13, or any higher minimum age in the jurisdiction where that child resides. Under the GDPR, a child is under the age of 16, but Member States of the European Union may choose to the lower the age level. We do not knowingly collect, use, or disclose personal information from children under 13 years of age, except as permitted by the U.K. law. Summary of privacy practices related to information collected from users whose birth dates indicate they are children under 16 if residing in the U.K. & E.U.: We do not seek or collect any personal information from children  under 16 if residing in the U.K. & E.U., but we will collect a parent’s email address solely for password reminder and reset purposes. The non-personal information we collect from child users is primarily used and disclosed to provide, customize, and improve the experience for child users. We may share information collected from children at least 16 years of age if residing in the U.K. & E.U. with our service providers so they may help us provide Services, but we do not typically share such information with other third parties as part of providing the Service. Parents and guardians can request that we stop collecting and delete any personal information we collected from their children, but we will no longer be able to provide such children with access to the Service.

Data retention

We keep your Personal Information, such as your name, email address and phone number, for as long as you keep your account in existence. In some instances, we will delete information you provide to us after it is no longer needed. We also keep information about you and your use of the Service for as long as it is necessary for our legitimate interests.

International users; data transfers

The Service is exclusively hosted in the U.K. & E.U.. If you are User accessing the Service from the U.S.A, Australia, Asia, or any other region with laws or regulations governing personal data collection, use, and disclosure, that differ from British laws, please note that you are transferring your personal data to the U.K. which does not have the same data protection laws as such other regions. User information (including Personal Information or “personal data” as defined by foreign laws) collected through the Service or the Service may be stored and processed in the U.K., and by using the Service and agreeing to this Privacy Policy, you consent to any such transfer of information outside of your home country. If you wish to withdraw your consent to such transfer of information, you can delete your account by sending an email to info@thewaychurchni.com.

The Service may contain links to other websites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or the content of these other websites. You will need to check the policy statement of these others websites to understand their policies. When you access a linked site you may be disclosing private information. It is your responsibility to keep such information private and confidential. Nonetheless, we seek to protect the integrity of our Service and welcome any feedback about these sites. Google’s use of the DART cookie enables it to serve ads to our users based on their visit to our site and other sites on the Internet. We along with third-party vendors, such as Google use first-party cookies (such as the Google Analytics cookies) and third-party cookies (such as the DoubleClick cookie) or other third-party identifiers together to compile data regarding user interactions with ad impressions, and other ad service functions as they relate to our website.

User content means any and all information and content that The Way Church community members (“Members”) submit, transmit or publish to, or upload or post on, this site, including videos, photos, images, comments, lessons, workshops, activities, games and other instructional materials (“Content”). We do not guarantee any confidentiality with respect to any Content you submit. You agree that you are responsible for actions and communications undertaken on this site under your account. We take no responsibility and assume no liability for any Content uploaded or otherwise transmitted by or to you or by or to any third party, or for any mistakes, defamation, slander, libel, omissions, falsehoods, infringement, obscenity, pornography or profanity you or a third party may encounter. You shall be solely responsible for your own Content and the consequences of submitting and publishing your Content on this site. You affirm, represent, and warrant that you own or have the necessary licenses, rights, consents, and permissions to publish Content you submit.
