WHO WE ARE
At WAYkids we believe every kid should be known, connected, equipped and empowered. KNOWN by another kid and a leader. CONNECTED to a group where they can grow spiritually. EQUIPPED with the tools and the knowledge to develop a strong faith in Jesus. EMPOWERED to serve others and share Jesus in the world. To sum it up, WAYkids exists to connect kids to God and others while helping them live a purpose driven life.
Our weekend services are designed with children in mind! Each child is taught in an age-appropriate environment. From Nursery to P7 our desire is to see each child be cared for in an individual way. Each of our WAYkids leaders has been through an extensive orientation process and has been screened to work with your child. From loving care in the nursery to radical worship, your child will be cared for and taught God’s Word in a safe, loving and encouraging environment.

F.A.Q.'S
CRECHE
Each of our volunteers has completed a WAYkids New Leader Orientation Class which includes age-level training, thorough review of our safety and security policies and a background check. This detailed process ensures that we will provide your child with the best possible care in a safe and secure child-friendly environment.
At the time of check-in, a loving and trained volunteer leader will greet you. You will be asked to provide us with a phone number for a mobile phone that you have in your possession. In the event that we need to contact you during the service, we will send you a text message. (Remember to leave your mobile phone on vibrate/silence during the service.) If your child cries, our caring volunteer leaders will immediately soothe your child. If your child cries for an extended period of ten minutes, we will text you. You and your child will receive a check-in tag specifically created for your child. To ensure their security, your child will not be released without presentation of your corresponding tag.
Please label all personal items with your child's first and last name before arriving at your child's class. For the safety of our children, all 2+ year olds must be wearing shoes to enter the program.
Two disposable nappies or pull ups. Please no cloth nappies.
Pacifier, lovey, or other comfort item.
A complete change of clothes, including a sweater or jacket in cool weather.
A bottle or cup of milk, formula, juice or water. (this is a good practice even for mothers who nurse.)
Our weekend program is organized into the following structure: Play Time/Learning Centers, Bible Story and Bible Verse, Sing-a-Long and Craft/Snack.
Our Children’s Ministry Center is a peanut-free environment. Please inform the leader of what snacks you are giving your child in the event of an allergy.
We operate a well-child environment. For the protection of all the children in our ministry, we cannot accept a child with a runny nose, fresh cold (four days or less), fever, rash, persistent cough, diarrhea or any other signs of illness. We request that you not place your child in the program while they are at risk of exposing other children. Thank you in advance for helping us to keep our Creche program a healthy place!

Our weekend program is organised into the following structure:
Kids will learn lessons from the Bible presented in a relevant way that addresses “kid issues” and how they are living today.
Energetic and interactive worship.
Children then return to their classroom to engage in activities that reinforce the lesson including a memory verse activity, a fun game and prayer time with their leaders. On occasion, a snack or treat will be provided. Please inform the leader if your child has an allergy. Please do not bring treats or drinks from home. We are a peanut-free Children’s Ministry Center.
