Welcome to a new series of our podcast, “The Reigning Centre – The Importance of Seeing Jesus in all of Scripture.” Our first episode is titled “The Right Kind of Search,” were we will explore John 5:30-49 and join Johnny Carson as he takes us through the importance of seeing Jesus in all of scripture.
Through this passage, Johnny will highlight the evidence that supports Jesus' claim to be the Son of God. He will delve into how John the Baptist, Jesus' miracles, the Father, and the Scriptures themselves testify to Jesus' divine nature.
Johnny will also emphasise how Jesus had a high view of scripture and assumed that the people of God would be a people who search the scriptures. He will caution us that we can search the scriptures wrongly, and we may be gripped by other glories, missing Jesus entirely.
Furthermore, Johnny will help us understand that going to Jesus is the only way to find true life. He will also explain how the Scriptures point us to Jesus as the source of eternal life and how we can encounter Him through the power of the Holy Spirit.
